In the Agnew catalogue this drawing was compared with a drawing of two cherubs in the Courtauld Institute which probably dates from towards the end of Berrettoni's life, Courtauld Institute of Art, Hand-List of the Drawings in the Witt Collection, London, 1956, p. 63, inv. 3241. Putti of comparable type, inspired by his master Maratta, appear in the pendentives in Santa Maria in Montesanto, Rome, F. Titi, Studio di Pittura, Scoltura, et Architettura, nelle Chiesa di Roma, Florence, 1987, II, p. 370, figs. 1386-9
