Sarah Samson (1757-1842) married Henry Rice of Dover, Kent with whom she had two children - Rev. Henry Rice (1776-1860) and Edward Rice (1776-1860), who married Elizabeth Austen/Knight. According to family tradition, she was Jane Austen's model for Mrs. Norris in Mansfield Park
