Dr. A. van Willingen was a collector of sale catalogues. In 1774 and 1800 he bought the collections of catalogues respectively assembled by J. van der Marck and C. Ploos van Amstel. After the death of his nephew, the collection was bought by the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris
