Kutahya pottery bodies such as is seen here were made to be mounted into rosewater sprinklers. Removal of the silver mounts reveals smooth glazed surfaces. Further indications of this can be noted in the black line that just appears above the foot at one point; the potter marking the level to which the foot would rise.
