The gun was completed circa 1932 and is recorded as being fitted with 'new repeating triggers'. This attractive and highly utilitarian feature is likely to be a Churchill patent and was probably introduced circa 1930. In it, both triggers can be used as self-contained but non-selective single-triggers, the mechanism being operated on an involuntary- or three-pull system
