Lot Essay

Captain Bullock was originally commissioned into the 14th Lancers (Murray's Jats). This regiment was amalgamated with the 15th Lancers (Cureton's Multanis) in 1922 to become the 20th King's Lancers. Apart from the buttons, the pattern of decoration on the mess waistcoat is identical to that worn by the 15th Lancers.
