Circa 1880, blue crossed swords mark, monogram L.S.
painted by Ludwig Sturm, with three nymphs, wearing flowing robes, one garlanding the central figure with grapes, with circular slip and square giltwood frame

Provenance
The Sinclair Galleries, Shaftesbury Avenue, London, 1895.
An accompanying note dated Dec 1895 reads "A pair of paintings on plaques of Royal Saxony Meissen Porcelain by Ludwig Sturm, Director of Painters at the Royal Factory some twenty or thirty years ago representing the Judgement of Paris, signed with the artist's initials L.S."
