carved with oak stems with leaves and acorns and with foliate and egg-and-dart mouldings, the sliding top with a pierced spindle gallery, the fall enclosing an interior with two short drawers, fitted to one side with a hinged pen and ink drawer, with a long drawer below, and four drawers with recessed brass handle pulls enclosed by a panel door, the panels carved in the 17th Century style and to the front with a hound, on paw feet, written on the interior under one of the drawers in ink Morley/Crossman
