Lot Essay

This stencil was in use between 1841/2 and 1851. G.J Morant was upholsterer for George Bullock and furniture designer. He was commissioned to supply furniture for Great Tew, Oxfordshire, the contents of which were sold by Christie's in a house sale on 27th, 28th and 29th May 1987.
