engraving, 1585, first state (of three), a very good impression, watermark double-Headed Eagle, with a narrow margin at the bottom, trimmed just inside the platemark at the other three sides, retaining a narrow strip of blank paper beyond the borderline the right sheet corners, skilfully made-up, a further similar repair at the centre of teh top edge, a few other repaired nicks and small losses at the sheet edges, slight staining and discolouration, laid at the reverse sheet edges
