lithograph printed in colours, 1874, on wove paper, fourth (final) state, signed in pen and black ink and dedicated 'au Baron D.... (?) sympathies E. Manet' on the mount, from the second published edition (there was also an earlier edition of 25 with different lettering in the third state and a small edition of the outline stone only printed in brown), with margins, a narrow surface abrasion at the lower left, a fine incised line at the right sheet edge, some foxing, laid in places at the reverse sheet edges, other minor defects
