A GEORGE III MAHOGANY GOLDFISH BOWL STAND of triangular outline, the top with raised circular centre and gadrooned border, fitted with a cupboard door between fluted chamfered angles on cabriole legs carved
with acanthus ending in scrolled feet, the angles with patched veneer
and replaced gadrooned borders, some carving to angle brackets and feet deficient, now associated with a glass fishbowl with compressed ovoid body and spreading foot, with printed label PHILLIPS OF HITCHIN LTD.
The stand 22¼in. (56.5cm.) wide; 26¼in. (67cm.) high
The bowl 11in. (28cm.) diam.; 13in. (33cm.) high;
