A satinwood table of very similar design was sold at Sotheby's London, 6 December 1968, lot 126

The shape corresponds closely with that of the tulipwood writing-table supplied in 1766 by Thomas Chippendale to Sir Rowland Winn at Nostell Priory for #5 15s 0d (C. Gilbert, The Life and Work of Thomas Chippendale, London, 1978, vol. II, fig. 436)
