A MEISSEN GROUP OF THREE FIGURES AROUND A VASE and modelled as two lovers, she wearing a broad-brimmed hat, white blouse with striped black corsage, striped and flowered skirt and a pale-green overskirt tied with pink ribbon, he wearing a white shirt, lilac suit with a pink and gilt sash and a leather jerkin, both holding a garland of flowers entwined around an urn-shaped vase on a fluted pedestal, with billing doves at their feet, a child seated behind them holding a garland over her head, on a rocky circular base moulded with chain-pattern (cover of vase and parts of garland lacking, chips to flowers and her hat), blue crossed swords mark, Pressnumer 137, incised F. 88. painted number 12, circa 1880
