Zind-Humbrecht is a star in the Alsace firmament and this is a late-picked Riesling of the excellent 1983 vintage. Only in recent years have vineyard names appeared on Alsace labels and they are still limited to the outstanding sites like Brand. We are informed that this is a dry style of Vendange Tardive which will benefit with mere bottle age. Its retail value is well in excess of our suggested opening price
