A MAJOR SECTION OF CALIFORNIA WINES
Lots to
Specially selected and shipped exclusively for this sale by 31 major wineries
The Wine and Spirit Trade's Benevolent Society wish to acknowledge the personal efforts of Dr. Bernard L. Rhodes and Robert Mondavi in obtaining on its behalf such an excellent range of wines, many of considerable rarity and of the highest quality, never before seen in the United Kingdom, many of which are no longer available commercially; but, of course, particular thanks to the proprietors of the wineries themselves for donating, and shipping at their own expense, choice wines from their cellars.
NB Wineries are listed in alphabetical order.
Estimates, as in the rest of the sale, do not represent the market value - some are priceless by California standards - but an opening, median guide
