A VENICE (VEZZI) OCTAGONAL TEAPOT of tapering form, the shoulders and base moulded with stiff leaves, with a straight spout and strap handle, naively painted perhaps by Duramano with chinoiserie figures one side with a figure shooting duck with a bow and arrow before a figure hiding behind a mound and a lady with a parasol, the other side with a figure worshipping a demon flanked by a figure with a staff and another presenting gifts, the shoulders enriched with iron-red and purple enamels (two minor footrim chips, very slight flaking to shoulders, purple shawl of lady with parasol and slight rubbing to terminal of spout), incised Cf and iron-red Ven.a mark, circa 1725
