A MEISSEN GILTMETAL-MOUNTED TOPOGRAPHICAL SNUFF-BOX, the cover moulded with Apollo in his horse-drawn chariot among clouds and rays, the base moulded with scrolls, a lyre and a guitar, the inside of the cover painted with a view of the Albrechtsburg and figures in the foreground tugging a sailing-boat, the interior of the base richly gilt (cover broken across one corner and repaired, slight associated hairline crack and underside slightly rubbed), copper-gilt mounts, circa 1745
