A VICTORIAN SCOTTISH LARGE CUP AND COVER, on spreading circular foot chased and engraved with a band of tied foliage, the baluster-shaped stem applied with scroll and mask brackets, strapwork and bands of foliate scrolls and fluting, the bowl chased and applied with grotesque beast masks, strapwork and winged cherub masks and with a coat-of-arms within a strapwork and ribbon cartouche, the detachable cover chased and engraved with strapwork, foliage and grotesque masks and with pointed finial, the base engraved with a presentation inscription, by Rait, Glasgow, 1888
