pen and watercolour on buff paper, each participant in the extremely lengthy procession well-detailed, headed by a train of elephants and camels with musicians, soldiers and standards, the main body of the procession comprises Bahadur Shah mounted on an elephant, followed by the closed jewelled howdah of his wife, then the British Resident, ....... ..... ....., after whom come the sons and courtiers, all main participants surrounded by swarming soldiers, musicians, bearers and hangers-on, soldiers from the British East India Company bringing up the rear, plain border below, in three joined sheets, mounted, framed and glazed (very slight water damage)
