The arms are those of Clinton for Sir Hugh Clinton K.B. (d.1751) who was summoned to Parliament on 16th March 1721 as Lord Clinton. He was created Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill, Devon on 5th July 1746 and Earl of Clinton
