MID-18TH CENTURY
The serpentine rectangular top with central lobed roundel within a herring-bone field surrounded by a band of two-coloured rectangles and within a further crossbanded border, above a red baize-lined writing-slide and a long drawer flanked by two short drawers with conforming decoration, the sides with parquetry conforming to the top, above a waved apron and with rounded angles above cabriole legs and later foliate stylised pieds-de-biche sabots, the underside with label inscribed C G Hebeler
