The enamelled dial with Arabic and Roman chapters within a drum surmounted by a Bacchante playing her cymbals, and a goat, flanked by vines and resting upon a rockwork base surmounted by a pineapple and crossed batons and flanked by a baby satyr and a neo-classical urn, the bowfronted rectangular plinth with central relief of Bacchus in a lioness-drawn chariot flanked by dancing figures and Fame, between vine-cast panels and on part-gadrooned and fluted waisted turned tapering feet, the movement stamped 483 and 63, previously with further central foot and lacking glazing to the front convex dial section of the side, movement lacking, the back feet later
