BINDING: early nineteenth century purple straight-grained morocco, sides with gilt-tooled borders and cornerpieces, spines gilt with raised bands lettered Chinese Drawings, inner gilt dentelles, cerise endpapers, g.e. by C. LEWIS with his ticket (a little rubbed and scuffed), large 2° (550 x 430 mm.)
The original album which contained the Chinese drawings (lots ..... above) with a pencilled note on the flyleaf "purchased at the sale of Alex Davidson Esq". (see note to lot ... above). The original interleaves and guards are still bound in.
