Lot Essay

The inscription loosely translates as follows:
"The First Day of Autumn
For the last five hundred years the start of autumn has as of old been welcomed by floating and lingering in a boat. Tonight the moon over the Eastern Mountains seems just like that autumn in the renxu year".
