A PAIR OF DOCCIA FIGURES OF HARLEQUIN AND COLUMBINE from the Commedia dell'Arte, in black masks and iron-red and yellow chequered theatrical costumes turned to their left and right and standing before tree-stumps on scroll-moulded puce, blue and green mound bases, Harlequin with a flat brown and yellow hat, a beard and holding a slapstick, she holding a pear (his hat restored, chips to his index and little finger and fingers on her right hand, chip to his base) circa 1770
