etchings, 1748-75, presumably a set as issued circa 1775, from Hind's Edition B.3 (a-b), with Piranesi's address and price on those plates that usually have it, of the 34 plates that are rebitten and have added work half of the plates before the rework and half of the plates with the rework, fine, sparkling and black impressions, with excellent contrasts, watermark double-encircled Fleur-de-Lys, with full margins, the usual central fold, some insignificant surface dirt on the initial plates of each volume, generally in very good fresh condition, an impression of Pianta di Roma e del Campo Marzo (F.600), dated 1778, tipped onto the left sheet edge of H.120 at the beginning of vol. I, the end papers with watermark Fleur-de-Lys in Circle surmounted by a Heart with initials DMA itself surmounted by a Cross contemporary grey paper-covered boards, letterpress title labels on spine, a few scuffs and tears, lesser defects
