Lot Essay

The .500/.465 Nitro Express cartridge was introduced circa 1907 and was intended initially as a replacement for the .450 cartridge. The .450 had been outlawed by the British government in India and the Sudan in an effort to prevent rebel forces using that caliber in military weapons. A quantity of ammunition for the rifle will be made conditionally available to the buyer of the lot

The lot is subject to V.A.T. as a re-import
