Lanchester, two albums containing approximately 1,000 blue prints and black and white photographs of the various features of a Lanchester including chassis details, engine and interior trim, but the majority are of complete motor cars. Some of the 900 photographs with hand written descriptions of the style of coachwork and name of the person to whom the car was supplied, were probably used for sales brochures or advertisements. The photographs date from before the first world war and include vehicles that were used during the war such as armoured cars and field ambulances. These albums are obviously factory records that will be of great interest to a Lanchester collector or archivist and cover the period 1912-1918. (2)
