AN EARLY LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED KINGWOOD AND PARQUETRY COMMODE
The waved rectangular top with concentric rosewood banding and a moulded edge with foliate clasps, above two short and two long drawers and a shaped apron with a pierced C-scroll mount with a maiden's mask, the rounded angles with simulated fluting and the sides with a central mask of a maiden's head, on bracket feet with a pierced C-scroll and foliate mount, extensive restorations and remounted, possibly originally with a marble top
