The scrolling broken pediment above a pair of arched panelled doors enclosing an interior with two hinged wooden clothes racks, wooden pegs, and two later metal hanging-bars, above a drawer and on facetted scrolled feet, the backboards later, the pediment previously with an urn finial, with dealer's label FROM P. LAYCO(CK) ANTIQUE AND MODER FURNITURE DEALER OXFORD STREET - HARROGATE

A closely related Dielenschrank from Schleswig-Holstein is illustrated in W. Schwarze, Antike deutsche Möbel, Wuppertal, 1977, fig. 13, while a further related armoire from Lübeck is illustrated in H. Kreisel, Die Kunst des deutschen Möbels, Munich, 1970, fig. 848.
