A SOUTH ITALIAN GILTWOOD SIDE TABLE
Mid-18th Century
The later shaped Siena marble top above a pierced C-scroll and foliate apron and on double-scrolled moulded legs headed by a foliate clasp, joined by a channelled waved X-shaped stretcher, to the centre with a scallop-shell and terminating in inward-scrolling foliate feet, the marble top with restored breaks, the top of the frieze with traces of green underpaint and previously probably with simulated marble top
