A PAIR OF FLEMISH FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOLS with sighted barrels engraved around the brass fore-sights, with three-quarter length sighting flats, and chiselled at the breech with foliage in low relief against a gilt ground, engraved tangs, flat bevelled locks each signed on the border above the steel-spring and engraved with foliage, and chiselled against a gilt ground on the cock and tail (one cock incomplete), moulded lightly carved walnut full stocks (chipped and repaired, one broken), iron mounts chiselled with foliage in low relief against a gilt ground and including crowned escutcheon and pierced side-plates, faceted ramrod-pipes, and associated wooden ramrods, signed M. Tonon, circa 1720
