A Hanau pewter-mounted blue and white baluster jug
Circa 1745, manganese P mark
Painted with the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception standing on a globe, her feet resting on a crescent moon and a serpent entwined about the globe, the hinged pewter cover with a shell thumbpiece (crack to base of handle and chip to terminal, mount repaired)
