A Mennecy silver-mounted white snuff-box
Circa 1755, the mounts apparently unmarked
Modelled as a gallant seated leaning against rockwork, his right hand on his stomach, on an oval mound, the cover moulded with a bearded man with a stick and a dog within a scroll cartouche (his right sleeve with one button lacking and slight chip, slight rubbing to base)
