Cf. Gerald and Celia Larner, The Glasgow Style, Edinburgh, 1979, no. 42-3, a brooch and spoon illustrated

The maker's mark is untraced but appears on a tea caddy made by Herbert McNair with enamels by Frances McNair. The style of the pieces would seem to be the work of Frances rather than of Herbert although both were making jewellery between 1898 and 1908
