oil on canvas, the King is seated in three-quarter profile in a jewelled throne, the sword of state at his side, his right hand holding a hyacinth, wearing white trousers and a jewelled European style red tunic with green sash and miniature of Fath 'Ali Shah on his breast, a tall black hat on his head with jewelled ornaments, against a green interior ground, vacant inscription panel top left, on rectangular stretcher with pointed top, original cut and stamped leather edging, (some damages and repairs)
