INDENTSecond Lieutenant William Armine Edwards, born 1892, Skaetty, Glamorganshire, educated Harrow and Trinity Hall Cambridge, was already in the Glamorgan Yeomanry when the unit was 'called up' on the outbreak of war, August 1914; he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant and embarked for Egypt, October 1916. Second Lieutenant Edwards was mortally wounded leading his Platoon into the attack on the Beersheeba position, Palestine, 1 November 1917 - he died a few hours later (3rd Battle of Gaza).
