INDENTSecond Lieutenant Charles Clarke Fyfe, born 1896 at Forfar, Scotland, joined the Black Watch as a Private and proceeded to France with the 7th Bn. 11 July 1916; was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant 31 July 1917 and joined the 6th Bn. 8 January 1918. He was killed in action on the first day of the Great German Offensive 21 March 1918 when the Forward Zone Area occupied by the 1/6th and 1/7th Bns. Black Watch was first bombarded and then overrun by German Storm Troopers - Commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
