Colonel John Kenneth Argyle Robertson, born 2 April 1898, was commisioned with the Black Watch 7 April 1916 and proceeded to France 25 April 1917; Lieutenant October 1917; Captain 1928; Major 1938; served in Palestine 1936-39 and remained in the Middle East throughout the Second War (Mentioned in Despatches London Gazette 30.12.1941); Lieutenant Colonel 1942 (O.B.E.1945).
