Lot Essay

The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were completed in 1894. The No.1 gun has a right barrel-thickness that is well below the recommended minimum but the gun has passed a recent nitro reproof and has accordingly been tested rigorously and viewed both before and after the proof test at the London Proof House
