Contemporary London blind-stamped brown calf over wooden boards, covers with double roll-produced frame, the outer with the four Royal badges (Oldham HE.b(5)), the inner with medallions interspersed with ornaments (one initialled R.B.) (Oldham HM.h(10)), with central rhomboid produced using the Royal badge roll, metal bosses, spine in six compartments with raised bands, clasps (defective, boards wormed, lacking two corner and the two central bosses, rebacked). Provenance: Early ownership inscription; Edward Hasted (1732-1812, historian of Kent, inscription); Georgiana Best (inscription). - SCAPULA, Johannes. Lexicon Graeco-Latinum. Late-18th-century English straight-grained red morocco gilt, covers with single fillet border, flat-backed spine dived into six compartments by a single intermittant-line roll, lettered in two, g.e.
