engraving, 1828, the extremely rare first state (of three), a very fine impression, from the very small edition published by Calvert, London, 1824 (there was also a posthumous edition of 350 published in a Memoir in 1893 and the Carfax edition of 30 in 1904), trimmed on or fractionally inside the platemark, very slight staining, laid at the reverse upper edge, S. 78 x 129 mm.; and The sleeping Shepherd, Early Morning, by S. Palmer (L. 6 iii/iv) (2)
