Opened for Inspection and Opened under Martial Law labels on mail from and to the Boer states, including examples of double censorship (Boer and British), an early use on 1899 U5 from England which arrived in Johannesburg on 5 October, just prior to the opening of hostilities, 1901 from Germany showing h.s. "GEPUBLICEERD" and "NON RECLAMÉ", and an unusual late type of label printed in grey on white paper. (19)
