used 1841 1d., A study of plates 12 to 175 with a representation from each plate (except 107, 117, 134, 141, 160 and 165), mostly neatly annotated with many examples of re-entries, double letters, varieties, guide lines, etc., all with four margins and chiefly neatly cancelled with Maltese Cross or numeral cancellations in black (a few in blue), a good number used on entires, watermark inverted, etc., also a smaller group of 1841 2d. values comprising plate 3 (22 singles, 9 pairs, strip of four), plate 4 (14 singles and a pair), all cancelled in black (mostly numeral types); a chiefly fine and most desirable group (798 items)
