The shaped arched two-piece central bevelled plate in a conforming bevelled mirrored border, four border plates cracked, originally with a further cresting, the lower central plate replaced, the two left-hand scrolled border plates probably replaced

A similar pier glass with divided central plate is illustrated in G. Wills, English Looking-glasses, London, 1965, p. 72, fig. 18. A further related pair of pier glasses from West Wycombe Park was sold by Sir Francis Dashwood, Bt., in these Rooms, 16 November 1989, lot 18.
