A ROMAN SILVER RING WITH CORNELIAN OVAL INTAGLIO, showing head of Herakles in profile, bearded and wearing a laurel wreath, the ring mount with knobbed shoulders; a cornelian intaglio, with Ares standing in front view, his head turned in profile, in his right hand he holds a spear and in the other his shield, wearing a plumed helmet, cuirass and tunic, a diminutive attendant wearing crested helmet crouches beside him to attend to his greaves, in later ring mount, both 1st-2nd Century A.D.; and another, with head of a youth (Octavian?) in profile, clean-shaven and with short hair, in later ring mount, 1st Century B.C.
