The oval shakudo nanako plate depicting a scene of Gojogahara with a chariot drawn by a dragon, a statue of Komei and a warrior, in shakudo, iroe takazogan and gilt, square mimi, with a wood box

Lot Essay

Goto Taijo was the son of the eighth master Sokujo. Taijo's elder brother Goto Renjo became the 10th master and later founded the Goto Jiroemon line.
