Lot Essay

Although previously considered a unique piece, watch No.116539 with case No.226927 made in 1902, was also a two time-zone centre seconds keyless pocketwatch. It would appear therefore that the lot offered here with the added complication of minute repeat and with the date of manufacture of 1864 may be a very early, if not unique, example.
