Lot Essay

Shozui was active during the Kanei Horeki period (1748-51) and was a student of Toshinaga. The go Otsuryuken and Miboku are well known but who used which has yet to be established. The first generation Shozui used many other go. After the second generation, they mostly used Otsuryuken and Miboku and other go are rarely seen. There is no Otsuryuken Miboku known as the first generation Shozui.
